Cleveland Bazaar is Northeast Ohio's longest running indie handmade event. We've been doing shows since 2004 in spaces all over Cleveland, and continue to grow from year to year.

We welcome applications from artists outside Northeast Ohio, especially for our larger holiday shows, and we particularly welcome applications from artists typically underrepresented at handmade events. All shows are juried, so some product categories are more competitive than others.

Cleveland Bazaar has a longstanding tradition of being welcoming and inclusive, and of treating our fellow artists like family. We expect that you will treat your peers with respect and consideration, and that you will do your best to help promote and otherwise make the shows a success.

In 2016, we are adding additional workshops to our calendar that will help our artists improve their marketing and communications skills. Please join our private vendor group on Facebook after you've submitted your application, which is where we post opportunities such as these.

All Cleveland Bazaar submissions in 2016 will be made using these forms, and all billing* will be done via PayPal invoice unless other arrangements are made.

*Timely invoice payments are expected; unless you have communicated with the show organizers for an extension, you risk losing your place if you do not pay on time.
Since our start in 2004, Cleveland Bazaar has always been about supporting small businesses in Northeast Ohio, and several members of our Bazaar family have gone on to open larger, storefront spaces throughout the area.

This summer, in partnership with Legacy Village, we created our first Retail Lab space as an experimental storefront boutique, with small businesses rotating weekly. Think of it as retail training wheels: don't sign a year+ storefront lease until you know what you're getting into first!

We are also currently in the process of creating a nonprofit entity to support further development of Lab activities and education, and you can visit the current Lab space at Legacy next to Bar Louie through September.

We will be doing a special holiday edition of the Retail Lab from Thanksgiving week through the end of the year. Although we won't know the exact address until later in August or September, we can tell you how the shop will run:

  • You will not need to be at the Lab every day though you will be expected to schedule some hands-on time throughout the 6 weeks to demo, or otherwise be present to promote your work. We will be hiring trained staff to manage and sell / keep the space open all expected hours. Part of your Lab fee will go towards this staffing.
  • All sales will be processed through a central register so you'll be expected to have your work tagged and an inventory spreadsheet provided so that staff can track sales appropriately.
  • All participants will be juried to ensure a broad distribution of product types as well as ensure quality and appropriateness for the space.
  • Lab fees will be determined when Legacy has determined which space we will be using, as costs will vary based on space size, number of participants and expected staffing levels. However, we expect it to be very reasonable compared with the similar popup administered by a different company last year.
We look forward to your application!

Cleveland Bazaar began a new, long-term partnership with an amazing downtown venue (Lake Affect Studios) in February 2016 with our Valentine show.

We have had some spaces open up in the remaining Second Saturdays summer show series, so we are doing a second round of jurying to fill them.

The remaining dates are as follows and all events run from 10-4:00 p.m. (and setup begins at 8 a.m. day of show)
  • 9 July
  • 13 August
  • 10 September
  • 8 October
This is an indoor venue in a building with other artist tenants. There are multiple bathrooms, a loading dock, multiple load-in doors and a freight elevator. The space also features a fully licensed (alcohol) bar and a new locally-roasted espresso bar. It's air conditioned (perfect for summer), and we are offering valet service for both vendors and customers.

In addition, since the start of the season, we have been working with the area economic development committees to create and promote a Superior Arts District Shuttle to increase event attendance across the board at multiple venues on Second Saturdays.

One 8' table space: $95

You will be lined up in rows and expected to conform to the space layout established, i.e. if you use racks instead of a table, they should take up no more room than your neighbors' setups. All table spaces are first come-first serve.

In addition, all accepted vendors are expected to participate fully in event promotion. This is critical for newer venues. We will do everything we can to promote you and support your business but in fairness to other participating vendors, we need you to help, too.
