Cleveland Bazaar is Northeast Ohio's longest running indie handmade event. We've been doing shows since 2004 in spaces all over Cleveland, and continue to grow from year to year.

We welcome applications from artists outside Northeast Ohio, especially for our larger holiday shows, and we particularly welcome applications from artists typically underrepresented at handmade events. All shows are juried, so some product categories are more competitive than others.

Cleveland Bazaar has a longstanding tradition of being welcoming and inclusive, and of treating our fellow artists like family. We expect that you will treat your peers with respect and consideration, and that you will do your best to help promote and otherwise make the shows a success.

We are adding additional workshops to our calendar that will help our artists improve their marketing and communications skills. Please join our private vendor group on Facebook after you've submitted your application, where we post opportunities such as these.

All Cleveland Bazaar applications will be made using Submittable, and all billing* will be done via Xero invoice unless other arrangements are made. (You can use PayPal to pay these invoices).

*Timely invoice payments are expected; unless you have communicated with the show organizers for an extension, you risk losing your place if you do not pay on time.

Hello and welcome! Our spring/summer 2017 show application is now open. Deadline for all applications is March first. 

You must have all application materials submitted by that date to be considered. This year we are instituting a $10 jurying fee to ensure only serious applicants. This covers all events listed on this application and is a non-returnable, one time fee. Please note that our events are handmade- and local designer-focused and we do not accept sellers such as LuLaRoe, Jamberry, etc.

Cleveland Bazaar will return to Market Square Park in Ohio City on the first and third Saturdays of each month (May-Oct) in 2017, and we are continuing our partnership with Playhouse Square for short farmers' market-style events on their plaza downtown alternating Fridays. 

In addition, we are working on a new Ohio City series that is still in the event approval stage for permits, etc. However, we've decided to open up applications on this same form to gauge interest while the other necessary steps are underway so you can better plan your summer season, as we're sensitive to the fact that our vendor family are filling out lots of application forms this time of year! 

Here are dates and additional details for each show series:

Market Square Park

Held in the park across from the West Side Market from 10-4:00, this show gets extra traffic from not only the Market but also other events happening in the neighborhood such as the Sparx City Hop in September. You will need a 10x10' tent. Spaces are $70 per date. 

Please note two of these dates are currently marked 'tentative' due to permit-related questions by our community development corp partners that will not be resolved until their next meeting with the city.

Ohio City Sunday show (as yet unnamed)

We are working with our partners at Ohio City's community development corporation as well as other neighborhood businesses to develop a new series designed to draw traffic not only to the Market and its new Sunday hours, but also other neighborhood attractions. We especially welcome applications from vendors who make food related products for this series. 10x10' tents will be required; pending permits and other necessary items we expect these events to be priced in line with our other Ohio City show ($70 per date).

Playhouse Square

Last year Playhouse Square invited us to be a part of their Friday afternoon event series and it was a great new opportunity to engage downtown residents and workers. They've invited us back again. There are only a small number of spaces, and we've chosen to lower the price this year to attract a broader range of vendors. You will need a 10x10 tent for this event, although this is optional (the plaza is well shaded). Spaces are $40.

Jurying, acceptance and billing:

Please note: this has changed slightly from previous years so that we can accommodate as many different vendors as possible, and so we aren't billing vendors for dates they are no longer able to do. In addition, as our application software only allows us to mark applications accepted or declined, there is no way to mark individual show dates acceptances, so read on for how the process will work this year.

After the application deadline (1 March) has passed, our jury will meet to consider applications. If you are in the first round of accepted applicants, you will receive a preliminary list of dates for which you have been accepted before we begin billing, at which point you will need to confirm all chosen dates and agree to the show terms. 

If vendors are unable to do any of the dates selected during this application process, we'll revisit our wait list and offer second round acceptances to the next set of applicants until all dates are filled.
